Why do we have committees on representation (CORs)? What is the purpose of COR? How do CORs operate? Who do they report to? Do all CORs operate the same way? How can COR be successful in a presbytery and synod?
It takes the efforts of many persons committed to diversity and inclusiveness to breathe “new life” into Committees on Representation (CORs).
The committee on representation will assist the church to move toward the goal of “wholeness in the emerging life” of the church. This wholeness is evident when all members of the body of Christ are able to use the gifts they have been given by the Holy Spirit for the equipping of the people of God. Wholeness is a part of God’s “shalom” for the world.

The year that is covered by reported data on the form. Included dates should span January 1‐December 31 of the year being recorded. Data included should cover all those serving at the synod level during those dates. Entities/bodies requiring representational reporting of their membership is the case for all those bodies that the synod nominating committee selects a slate.
