On any given day, one could walk past Susan Stack’s office to find her poring over paperwork, writing reports or taking phone calls. It wasn’t just a job; it was her life. Stack served as an associate with the Presbyterian Health, Education & Welfare Association (PHEWA) for 34 years, helping people who dealt with everything from domestic violence to AIDS.
San Bernardino and Redlands authorities are still trying to piece together what led Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, to go on a shooting rampage last week, killing 14 people and injuring 21. The couple opened fire during a luncheon at the Inlands Regional Center in San Bernardino on December 2nd. The attention of the investigation has shifted to whether the couple had links to foreign terror organizations.
As authorities continue their investigation into Thursday’s shooting rampage that left 14 people dead and 21 wounded in San Bernardino, Calif., local pastors are holding prayer vigils and preparing for a weekend of worship and tears. Several churches and interfaith organizations in and around the community held vigils throughout the day and evening on Thursday with additional services and gatherings continuing through the weekend.
