The Washington office of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is calling on the public to rally behind Cameroonians being deported from the United States to dangerous situations in their homeland.
The second round of Madagascar's presidential election held on December 20, 2013. Preliminary reports indicate that polling was peaceful, although the turnout of less than 50% was well below that of the first round of voting on October 25th. The still-emerging results are already proving controversial, and many are concerned that the official announcement, scheduled for January 5, 2014, may trigger conflict and violence.
